John's Letter

Handwritten
This weeks message has been handwritten using the palm pilot at various places throughout Washington State. I find it so weird to have this kind of capability, but I love it at the same time. We are pulling into Jim and Cindy's driveway as I complete this sentence.

Jim & Cindy Ebberson New Year
Almost a last minute decision mid-week, Janel and I went to Pasco for the New Year celebration. Their dog Molly is much bigger compared to last year. Duane and Suzie were there and Jim and Cindy's son Darin his wife Monique and two daughters were present along with about 20 other friends and neighbors. Played lots of games and the last half hour of 2004 with Leno in the background. On our arrival back, we watched the movie “Hidalgo,” and found it to be much better than expected. Then of course we were zonked out.

Mike & Sharla LeMieux
Thursday night Janel and I visited Uncle Mike and Sharla (originally to pick up some wine) for about three hours and munched on chex mix. The dog digested my hand the whole time and the cats were hilarious. We left to get back in time to pick up Jason and Caroline from the airport. Janel's Aunt Polly and Uncle Jerry also were flying in from Las Vegas, spending the night at Jason and Caroline's. Sadly, Caroline arrived sick. Jason had been the whole week and appeared to have made a recovery.

Scott Brewer
My friend Scott from wsu came to visit us this week. He brought over the movie Shaun of the Dead. The film is funny at some parts but very quickly becomes like any other zombie flick. Scott heads out to Kennewick to work on a temp three to four month job. When he visits his parents on breaks etc, he often makes the 40 minute trek south 405 to visit us.

Early week and overall short message
On Sunday Janel made Nutty Buddies (or whatever the chex mix with chocolate, peanut butter and powdered sugar is called), and we had a relaxing day before she went back on the school routine. On Monday night Tim and Scott came by to visit for a bit, and that pretty much sums up the big exciting chunks over the week!
