John's Letter
I know, this is a short letter for the last week and a half...and also, I will talk about my job situation next time to greater detail.
Ladies Night
Thursday night Janel's friend Kristen came by and they both went over to Darci's to have a birthday dinner and watch that TV show, the OC. I assisted Caroline by moving their new bathroom sink and counter into the garage.
Wenatchee Birthdays
On Friday we held out on dinner so we could stop and eat at Rusty's. From there we visited with two neighbors, and even met up with Dan for a little bit.
On Saturday I learned that Duane and Suzie had legally named their place Peach Hollow Inc. Jason and Caroline came down for dinner, and then we all went over to the Shurtzs' house for cake and ice cream. Matthew shares the same birthday as Janel.

After that we went to Applebees for a quick celebratory drink. Jason had passed two computer certification tests on Friday.
Sunday morning the grandparents came over for breakfast, we visited Janel’s Aunt, and then hit the road.
Visitors
Tim & Scott came over for a short afternoon visit last week. Tim offered the Smallville dvds for me to borrow. Adam stopped by for a brief visit and dinner on Wednesday…
…and Darci came over for taco soup on Thursday and to watch their favorite show the OC.
Newspaper
Janel and I started getting the Seattle Times last week too. We have a full four month subscription for 20 bucks! Apparently because of the high turnover rate in this area, they offer this deal so that they don’t lose the numbers they need in this area. At the end of four months because of previous experience, the subscription will not be renewed unless we call them. So, that is very cool. As it turns out, the guy who pitched the sale to us is related to one of Janel’s students who lives in the same apartments as we do. So they shared some conversation there.
Ray
On Saturday Ray came down to visit with us for lunch at Baja Fresh. He was on spring break from his WSU masters program (business), and had been over at his younger sisters place.
Ray & John
Jason & Caroline
After Ray left we went over to Jason & Caroline’s because I needed to meet and work with Caroline on the Users Manual (almost complete). Janel was returning the book "The Da Vinci Code" (which she read in about three days), and then we were invited for pizza along with Bob Dafney and Collin. When we got back to the apartment we watched the so-so free movie from next door, "Day After Tomorrow." The movie wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't so many unbelievable character aspects. It was interesting though.
Janel
Wrestled with another exciting Pro-certification class last week and this Monday…while at school…a cap came off her tooth while eating a tootsie roll! So, she will make a trip to the dentist after school for a temporary fix…see what can be done. And then when she goes to Wenatchee she could visit the family connected dentist. For the last two weeks we both have been lifting weights together in the late afternoon two or three times a week. It will be interesting to see how long we can try to keep that integrated as routine.
