Factoids, Extras & Eggs:
1. The album is a double album with the first disc featuring standard Foo Fighters rock songs, and the second featuring more peaceful, acoustic arrangements.
2. Dave Grohl has admitted that the song "Friend of a Friend" was written about Kurt Cobain.
3. There is also a special edition DualDisc set which contains a "making of" documentary, and the second disc in 5.1 surround sound. This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions. In the U.S., the MediaMax CD-3 copy protection system is used, causing some fan backlash. This copy protection only appears on the standard CD version of the album, but not on the DualDisc version.
4. In "FFL," Dave Grohl yells out "Get on your bikes and ride!" This is a reference to the Queen song, "Fat Bottomed Girls," where Freddie Mercury yells out the same line. Mercury's line was actually referring back to the Queen song, "Bicycle Race."
