Factoids, Extras & Eggs:
1. The Offspring started in 1984 by founders Bryan "Dexter" Holland and Greg K who met in their high school cross-country team. Kevin 'Noodles' Wasserman, the school janitor, was welcomed into the band, allegedly because he was old enough to purchase alcohol for Dexter and Greg.
2. Their only recorded song under the name Manic Subsidal was called "Hopeless," and was on a compilation album called Party Animal: We Got Power II, released in 1984 by Mystic Records. Other Manic Subsidal songs heard Live in San Berubin, Canada 1987 include: Religion, Tonight I Do, and Ballroom Blitz. Another one often mentioned is titled Cogs.
3. The song "Beheaded" was written by The Offspring and (former member) James Lilja. Lilja had quit shortly after joining to pursue a medical career in gynecology, and was replaced by Ron Welty, who was only 16 years old at the time.
4. Hey Joe, & The Blurb (Instrumental) are from a 7-inch EP 1991 release titled, Baghdad. The other two track evolved into Get it Right (on Ignition) and Baghdad became Tehran (on Self Titled).
5. Kill the President has been taken off later pressings.
