Cell

By Stephen King. 451 pgs.
Overview: B&N, Amazon, Wiki, MC
Graphic artist Clay Riddell was in the heart of Boston on that brilliant autumn afternoon when hell was unleashed before his eyes. Without warning, carnage and chaos reigned. Ordinary people fell victim to the basest, most animalistic destruction. And the apocalypse began with the ring of a cell phone.
Comments: C (1.30.07) It starts off like any other zombie story, with a little twist past the middle, and interest wanes by the end. It's alright, not great, but ok. And it marked the first Stephen King book that I have actually read. Also includes an additional eight pages of Stephen Kings Lisey's Story. According to Wiki, "King dedicated the book to friend George Romero, the film director who helped create the zombie genre with his Night of the Living Dead series. Romero has worked with King on numerous occasions, including Creepshow and the feature film version of The Dark Half." and also, "On March 8, 2006, Ain't It Cool News announced that Dimension Films have bought the film rights to the book and will produce a film directed by Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever) for a 2007 release."
