Sega Classics Collection (CC): Essentially contains 3 games. Granted there are 10 games, these 7 are actually Sega Ages updated versions (and not original) - Alien Syndrome (v14), Columns (v7), Fantasy Zone (v3), Golden Axe (v5), Space Harrier (v1), Tant R & Bonanza Bros (v6). Therefore, those are not listed above because they are not originals. However, some of the games included what looks like either originals or the option to play the original. These 3 games are - Monaco GP (v1), Outrun, & Virtua Racing Flat Out. Columns, Bonanza Brothers & Golden Axe appear in original form on SGC.

Sega Genesis Collection (GC): 11.7.06/Retro, Rated T
PS, GSpot, IGN, GSpy, GStat, GFeed
Developers: Sega (2nd Pub) Offical Webpage
Platform: PS2, 1-2 Players
Details/Extras: Contains 33 games, with 28 available and 5 unlockable. Each game has a museum option that contains a text history, 99 tips and 52 pieces of art & concept sketches (not including unlocked games-year-tips&art). Along with the 5 unlockable games, an Extras menu also contains 10 unlockable interviews with 1. Rieko Kodama, 2. Makoto Uchida, 3. Kazuo Wakihara, 4. Tohru Yoshida, 5. Kazunari Tsukamoto, 6. Takao Miyoshi, 7. Akira Nishino, 8. Yuji Uekawa, 9. Shun Nakamura, 10. H Kataoka D Katagiri. Frustrating me once again, the PSP release included five other unlockables. and the Japanese variation titled Sega Mega Drive Collection (SGC-MDC) included one additional game.
1. This is the first time Golden Axe III is released in North America, Europe and Australia.

2. The collection does not include the first Genesis Shinobi game, The Revenge of Shinobi, possibly due to copyright issues surrounding the inclusion of Spider-Man as a boss character at the end of Stage 6.
3. The Virtua Fighter 2 version created for the Genesis system does not feature the two new characters available on the arcade version, Shun Di & Lion Rafale.

Comments: My Rating.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection (MA): Contains ten games with the last two Arcade games being unlockable. Other unlockables include original artwork and remixed music. An extra feature is the "Navi Mode" for the first six titles, which provides hints and pathways for completing each stage.

Mega Man X Collection (MX): Contains 8 games. First North American releases of Mega Man X3 & Mega Man Battle & Chase

Sonic Mega Collection Plus (SP): Essentially contains 16 games (2 others are already available on SGC, Flicky & Ristar), with 13 available and 3 (actually 5) unlockable. An extras menu revelas comic covers, illistrations and game movies.

Sonic Gems Collection (SG): Contains 11 games, but annoyingly is only available on Gamecube, or PS2 in Japan & Europe, not in the US. In addition, there is also an extensive unlockable section, which contains over three hundred Sonic-related images, videos, music, and game demos, as well as Vectorman 1 & 2 (which already appear on SGC).
