Queen Sequel
Peter Morgan has started work on a follow-up to The Queen that will center on former U.K. prime minister Tony Blair's relationships with U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. The project will be the third film in Morgan's "Blair trilogy," which began with Channel 4 telepic "The Deal" and continued with The Queen. Michael Sheen is expected to reprise his role as Blair.

"Comedy Central is set to announce Wednesday the pickup of a second series from "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart's production company. The sketch-variety show "Important Things With Demetri Martin" is slated for the second half of 2008; anywhere from six to 10 episodes will be executive produced by Stewart and Martin, who has been a featured contributor on "Daily Show." Martin will alternate between taped sketches and stand-up performances in front of a studio audience...segments riff on "the important things" about ... chairs. Future episodes will give the same treatment to everything from apples to "what happens after we die."
