Factoids, Extras & Eggs:
1. A lo-fi recording of a largely uncommercial nature, Stereopathetic Soulmanure is Beck's second official album, released in 1994, perhaps, to downplay his then-notoriety as a novelty act for his current Top 10 hit "Loser".
2. There is also a screwy pressing that separates "No Money No Honey" over tracks 7 and 8 and breaks parts of "One Foot In The Grave" and "Aphid Manure Heist" over tracks 12, 13 and 14, which causes all tracks after "Crystal Clear (Beer)" to be off from the track listing on the back cover. This pressing also omits the short snippet of dialogue called "Ken" and keeps the bonus noise on the same track as "Modesto." Some versions of the album include the bonus hidden track, "Bonus Noise."
3. Golden Feelings: Initially only available on cassette, Sonic Enemy remastered the album and put it out on CD in the summer of 1999. They neglected to mention this to Beck, who was upset that they put the album out without his permission. After he made his displeasure known, Sonic Enemy ceased to press any more copies. Only 2,000 were pressed, causing the CD to become quite valuable.
4. Golden Feelings: Original tracks appear on later works; Track 15 is on 1995’s A Western Harvest Field by Moonlight as track 1. Track 16 is on Mellow Gold as track 11. Track 2, 5, & 9 appear on the Pay No Mind Single. Track 4 is on Stereopathetic Soulmanure as track 7.
5. A Western Harvest Field by Moonlight: "SEXY DEATH SODA" is scratched on the vinyl on the Bic Side, and "CHERRY CUPCAKE" is scratched on the Beek Side.
6. Styrofoam Chicken (Quality Time) is a neverending loop. It was put extra deep into the vinyl so when the needle gets to the end it jumps it back to the beginning of the track, which is actually about a second long. The needle has to be physically removed from the record for the song to end.
