Factoids: (IMDB, Moviemistakes)

1. One of the students was Mark Gangloff, an Olympic swimmer who won gold in Athens.
2. The movie uses clips of real incidents supplied to Walt Disney by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency during the training sequences in scenes at the training school.
3. The Coast Guard A school for rescue swimmers is not at Barksdale AFB in Louisainia, but Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
4. Chief Flythe, who can be seen in various scenes throughout the film, was one of the first five operating rescue swimmers in the Coast Guard, graduating from A school in 1984 and beginning his work at the Elizabeth City base in 1985.
5. In the scene where the new candidates report in to Rescue Swimmer School, one of the airmen is wearing the Silver Star ribbon. The person is too young to have served in another service, and there are no other service's ribbons worn - and the Coast Guard hasn't issued a Silver Star since Vietnam.
Comments: A-. (3.6.07, Rental) Expect the ending the way you think it would be...but it still stands as a good flick to watch.
