Comments
1. This new DVD release incorporates everything included on 2002's 25th Anniversary Edition DVD in time for the 30th Anniversary and appears to be a platform to kick off the new series My Friends Tigger & Pooh (The title makes indication of this by being the "Friendship Edition." However the 2002 release has been pulled off the shelves and this version has updated visual and audio). The Original "Many Adventures" was released in 1977, 20 years later feaure length Pooh movies began (But I only care/like/enjoy the four on this disc).
2. 1966's Winnie the Pooh & the Honey Tree is based on the first two chapters of the original Winnie the Pooh book by A. A. Milne, it was the only Winnie-the-Pooh production released while Walt Disney was still alive. This film introduces the character of Gopher, not part of the original stories — hence his comment "I'm not in the book, you know." (During a pun on unlisted telephone numbers). 1986's Short-A Day for Eeyore is based off two chapters from the books Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner.
3. Other Pooh releases include; The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh TV Series (1988-'89's Season 1 had 42 episodes, '89's Season 2 had 11 episodes, '90's Season 3 had 18 episodes, '91's Final Season 4 had 12 episodes), Four Holiday TV Specials ('91's Winnie the Pooh & Christmas Too!, '96's Boo! To You Too! Winnie the Pooh, '98's A Winnie the Pooh Thanksgiving, & '98's Winnie the Pooh, A Valentine For You), Movies & Direct to Video Releases ('97's Pooh's Grand Adventure-The Search for Christopher Robin, '00's The Tigger Movie, '03's Piglet's Big Movie, '04's Winnie the Pooh-Springtime with Roo, & '05's Pooh's Heffalump Movie, & sequel, '05's Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie), Two Puppet TV Series (1983-'95's Welcome to Pooh Corner, & 2001-'02's The Book of Pooh), and the new My Friends Tigger & Pooh TV Series (started in '07). All of which I am not interested in.
